Which games does it work with?

Any game running in borderless or windowed mode. In exclusive fullscreen, Windows can hide overlays, so Squad Overlay can send you a notification for those games instead.

Will it get me in trouble with anti-cheat?

Squad Overlay uses the standard Windows screen-capture API and a normal topmost window. It never injects into a game or reads its memory. That said, every game sets its own rules and compatibility can't be guaranteed, so check your game's policy first.

How much does it cost?

$4.99 USD a month, $24.99 every 6 months or $44.99 a year (or the local equivalent) through the Microsoft Store. The monthly plan starts with a one-month free trial for new subscribers. Pick a plan in the app under General › Subscription. Cancel anytime in your Microsoft account; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. There are no ads. Each person in a lobby needs their own subscription. If you bought Squad Overlay while it was a one-time $9.99 purchase, you keep full access without subscribing.

Who can see my screenshots?

Only the members of your lobby at the moment you send. Screenshots are encrypted in transit and are not stored on our servers, though anyone who receives one can keep it, so share with people you trust.

What if someone sends something they shouldn't?

Use ⋯ next to their name to block them, which hides their screenshots from you straight away, or to report them. The lobby's host can also remove them. See the terms of use for the rules.

Does it record my screen?

No. It captures a single screenshot only when you press the shortcut or a button. Nothing is captured in the background, and you can switch the hotkeys off whenever you like.
